Sophmore troubles

K, I"m just trying to decide if I have time to take this class or not. I've got a really really full schedual, and I'm trying to fit marching band into it, too. This sounds like a class I want to take, but is the homework going to be a problem if I don't have alot of extra time to do it in? I don't want to be too overwhelmed my sophmore year . . .

Marching band is a Joke, you will only be pressed for the first term. what you need to worry about is the homework that you get in Honors English.

Yeah, what brian said, your tired but at least your efficient while your in marching band... once your done you get too lazy and procrastinate.

If it's something you really wanna do, and you're willing to put in the time for it, i'd say go for it! i can almost guarantee that you'll have some hard days every once in a while. if you just sit down and crank out the homework, don't procrastinate or be lazy about it or talk to friends or anything while doing it, then it should't really be a problem.

What is your schedule full of? If you have Honors English, drop it right now. Move to regular. Then you can take honors Junior year (which you have to do even if you have honors english sophomore year) and then AP English senior year. Makes sophomore year a lot easier. If you are doing marching band, good luck taking this class. If you like history or can do homework really fast, go ahead, but be prepared for late nights during the first semester. This isn't to discourage you from taking the class, but be prepared if you are going to. Hope this helps.

Ap Euro depends a lot on your writing and time management skills. First term is one of the toughest, but gradually you will get used to the system and it won't take you very long to do your homework as long as you don't get distracted. It isn't really the homework that kills your grade though, it's the chapter tests.

agreed. tests are what usually drop me down. Although i really didn't think honors english this year was bad at all, but maybe that's just me. marching band will make things tough the first term, but you'd survive. take whatever classes you really think you'd enjoy and think you can manage, surprisingly most people can judge for themselves pretty well. just don't let your parents or councelors or whoever else talk you into taking classes you don't wanna take. high school really isn't as hard as some people think it is, take classes you're interested in, do the homework, manage your time, you'll be just fine.

You're taking marching band? Great! I hope to see you there. As far as doing AP Euro on top of it, I actually found that I did my homework earlier when I had mb. There will be late nights, but a good idea is to do the work that you need to think for first. Also, which science class are you taking? remember that as fun as it can be, marching band is only a term long, and that term doesn't take long.

one thing about AP Euro students, many of us have little to no lives. Just look at how many of us responded to this. :)
